Data AcquisitionΒΆ
Image acquisition is performed using a combination of two possible methods:
- Drone: the acquisition is performed using a piloted drone. The advantages are the greater control over the acquisition trajectory, ensuring the whole site is covered with enough resolution. The main drawback is the requirement to have a person on-site performing the acquisition, which increases costs.
- Crane Camera: the acquisition is performed using a camera device mounted on the crane hook. The device operates autonomously and has a battery life of 1 week, reducing the number of required interventions. The main drawback is that the acquisition trajectory is constrained by the crane motion while in regular operation.
